How can I read the temperature from the ProboStat

Thermocouple develops a voltage difference between it's tips. This voltage is a function of the thermocouple type and the temperature difference. To know the temperature difference one must measure the voltage.

There are instruments that can automatically measure and convert this voltage to a temperature such as handheld multi-meters, desktop digital multi-meters, thermocouple readers. Remember to set the device to the appropriate thermocouple type.

When converting the voltage to temperature manually, use conversion table (of appropriate type) or conversion function. Remember to add the room temperature to the result.

The ProboStat base unit is wired for use of three thermocouples. The thermocouple sockets (K- or S-type) are panel-mounted on the hexagon. Appropriate thermocouples, cables and plugs are included in the standard ProboStat system.
