What gases can the ProboStat be used with?

The brass version can be used with oxidizing, inert, and reducing gases, wet and dry. It can be used with wet CO2. Only for more corrosive gases such as H2S and NH3 do you need the stainless steel version of the base unit.

Use of corrosive gases may cause corrosion of the base unit mini-contacts, but they can be replaced. Electrode contacts can be contaminated or destroyed, they are considered as consumables. Spare parts are for some of the systems supplied in order to increase life-time of the electrode contacts. We strongly do not recommend feeding NH3 in the 165 base unit version due to fast corrosion of the heated gas lines.
